The 200-year-old winery is now a gloriously luxurious apartment in pleasing warm neutrals that immediately cocoons you. It’s one of the smartest cave stays around, while maintaining all the historical charm that roots it to this locale. The rooftop jacuzzi and sunbathing deck with views all over the area’s vineyards just make everything a little better. The location is ripe for both play and relaxation – it’s right on the outskirts of sleepy village Mesaria, but still just a few minutes from Fira by car. A wine closet stashed with fine local wines pays tribute to the cave’s one-time purpose.
